As a Senior Translation Officer, you’ll be integral to CBDT’s communication framework. Your core responsibilities include:

• Translating legal documents, tax circulars, policy drafts, and public notices between Hindi and English while preserving technical accuracy.

• Reviewing translated materials from junior staff and ensuring compliance with governmental language standards.

• Collaborating with tax law experts, IT teams, and regional offices to streamline multilingual documentation.

• Managing terminology databases and glossaries for consistency across CBDT publications.

• Supporting public outreach initiatives by translating citizen-centric content for digital platforms.

Eligibility Criteria & Requirements

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of translation experience in government, PSUs, or legal/financial sectors.

• Speed of 800–1,000 words/day with 95%+ accuracy.

Preferences:

• Knowledge of Sanskrit/French (for treaty translations).
